Hyubdai Elantra Trim Comparison

The Hyundai Elantra is a stylish sedan that offers lots of safety features and great fuel economy. Which one of the Elantra trims is right for you, though?

To help drivers in Ithaca, Vestal, and Sayre decide, Maguire Hyundai put together this review of the 2020 Hyundai Elantra trim levels to help you compare the various Elantra packages.

Hyundai Elantra SE

The base trim runs on a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 147 horsepower. This efficient powertrain works with a Smartstream® Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) and can also provide you with an EPA-estimated 31 MPG city and 41 MPG highway.*

The interior features comfortable cloth seats and a 5-inch screen in the dashboard for the Bluetooth®-compatible infotainment system. This screen can also be used to check behind you using the rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.

Some of the other driver-assistance features that come standard on this trim include:

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Driver Attention Warning

Hyundai Elantra SEL

What is the difference between a Hyundai Elantra SE and SEL? The Hyundai Elantra SEL runs on the same engine as the base trim. It adds lots of technology to the mix, though, with a 7-inch touchscreen that's compatible with both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. You'll also get more music to choose from with SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.

There are more driver-assistance features on this trim, too. You'll have more visibility with automatic headlight control and more awareness with a Blind-Spot Collision Warning with Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning.

Hyundai Elantra Value Edition

The Hyundai Elantra Value Edition adds more amenities and convenient technology. For starters, it's easy to load the trunk, even when you've got your hands full, thanks to the hands-free smart trunk release. The interior is then prepared for all seasons. There are heated front seats as well as a power sunroof that will brighten things up and let some fresh air in.

You'll also be able to stay connected to your vehicle using the Blue Link® connected car system. Just download the app on your smartphone and you can lock, unlock, and start your engine remotely. It can even activate the lights and horn, so you can find your car in a crowded parking lot.

Hyundai Elantra Eco

There's a different engine under the hood of the Hyundai Elantra Eco. It uses a 1.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine to get up to an EPA-estimated 33 MPG city and 41 MPG highway.* It'll also deliver a sporty drive with 128 horsepower, 156 lb-ft of torque, and a 7-speed EcoShift® Dual Clutch Transmission.

Hyundai Elantra Limited

The Hyundai Elantra Limited brings back the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. It also adds some luxury to the interior with leather seats. In addition, you'll find more comfort in this trim with an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support.

The infotainment system gets an upgrade, too, with a wireless phone charger, HD Radio™, and an Infinity® Premium Audio system with eight speakers and a subwoofer.

Hyundai Elantra Sport

The most powerful trim is the Hyundai Elantra Sport. It runs on a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.

Furthermore, the interior builds on the leather seats by adding a leather-wrapped shift knob, leatherette door inserts, and a D-cut leather-wrapped sport steering wheel.
